Acorn’s founder and fearless leader, Dr. Tim, is a northwest native who grew up in Vancouver, Washington. After completing his undergraduate degree at BYU, and graduating from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Tim’s vision of a better, painless and more positive dental experience, as well as his passion to serve his community ultimately led him to open his own practice. Acorn Dentistry for Kids was born in 2017, becoming Silverton, Oregon’s first board certified pediatric dentistry practice. Here, Dr. Tim was able to put down roots with his family, who fell in love with the friendly charm and small-town feel of Silverton.
Dr. Tim has become one of Oregon’s most trusted pediatric dentists, and Acorn Dentistry for Kids has proudly been able to serve communities in Salem, Keizer, Corvallis and Hillsboro! Not only does Dr. Tim come with over a decade of experience, but he also prioritizes continuing education to ensure that he is able to provide the best care possible to our community’s youngest residents. As a father of 6, what you’ll love most about Dr. Tim is his patience, ability to connect, and his understanding of the challenges that come with parenting!
When Dr. Tim was looking for a place to make a difference and raise his own family, he chose Silverton, Oregon. He was drawn to the small-town feel and the friendly community, so he put down roots and created Silverton’s only board-certified pediatric dentistry practice. He continues to open more locations, in Keizer, Corvallis, Hillsboro, and West Salem.
Dr. Tim graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and then completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. With nearly a decade of pediatric dental experience, Dr. Tim has become Oregon’s most trusted pediatric dentist for your child’s oral health. He regularly attends advanced pediatric courses each year and maintains his membership with the ADA and AAPD.
When not serving the dental needs of our community’s youngest residents, Dr. Tim and his wife have their hands full with six children who keep them busy with all sorts of hobbies and interests. You can find them enjoying the outdoors as much as possible with plenty of hikes, backpacking trips, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Tim is also an extraordinary athlete! If he’s not in the office or with his family you will find him training for and competing in triathlons. His favorite event might just be the Pacific Crest Half-Ironman Triathlon where he competes alongside over 5,000 other dedicated triathletes.
